Diana joined the team at Baby and Company in 2018 as a part time midwife and ultrasonographer. She sees women at the center for well-woman and gynecologic needs. She has practiced as a midwife for 40 years in a variety of settings including private practice, public health, maternal case management, nursing education, and ultrasound education. She has earned a Master’s of Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and she was recently inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She serves on several national committees, including the Ultrasound Education Task force for ACNM. She is the current chair of the Midwifery Ultrasound Exam Oversight Committee with ARDMS/Inteleos. She has taught midwives and women’s health nurse practitioners for most of her career, serving both as clinical and academic instructor most recently at Vanderbilt School of Nursing. Although she is near retirement and no longer attends births, she finds great satisfaction in applying the midwifery model of care to women in all circumstances and life stage. She has a heart for working with women who are trying to conceive, and with women who have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. She is married and has two grown sons, and a lovely daughter-in-law. She loves music, cooking, gardening, and travel. She regularly travels to other countries to provide medical mission service.
