At Baby and Company, we are all about caring for the whole person and the whole family. In our prenatal classes and postpartum Thrive new moms class series, we encourage prioritizing self-care and cultivating community. We’re practicing what we preach by starting a Baby and Company Book Club to continue to build community for ALL and build in some self-care time for our team and our families.
This month’s first book pick is from our educator and lactation specialist, Heather Price. Heather’s first career was as a high school English teacher, and she’s always been an avid reader. Heather and her husband have two children, ages 7 and 3.5. For the first few years of new parenthood, all they read were parenting and baby books. Now, reading is less about parenting and more about fun and relaxation. From this experience, the Baby and Company Book Club idea was born!
Heather has selected the fiction book Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens to kick us off! You can purchase the book at the usual places or borrow from your local library. Our first meet up is Sunday, August 25, 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Great Room at Baby and Company. Babes in arms are welcome. If you want to, bring a tasty treat to share with the group! We’ll provide some beverages.
Can’t wait to get reading with y’all!
